Regulatory status

Atom Mortgages is an appointed representative of [Principal firm], which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Our FCA register number is [FCA number]. You can check this on the Financial Services Register at register.fca.org.uk.

Atom Mortgages is a credit broker and not a lender. We are registered in England, company number [Company number], at 1 Burnt Oak Lodge, 711 London Road, Hadleigh, Benfleet, Essex SS7 2EE.

Most buy-to-let mortgages and some forms of commercial finance are not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. The guidance and information on this website is subject to the UK regulatory regime and is targeted at consumers in the UK.

Fees and how we are paid

We will always tell you how we are paid before you commit to anything. We receive a procuration fee from the lender when a mortgage completes. Where a broker fee applies to your case, we confirm the exact amount in writing before you proceed. Protection recommendations carry no fee to you; the insurer pays us a commission when a policy starts.

Risk warnings

Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage. Think carefully before securing other debts against your home. If you are thinking of consolidating existing borrowing, you may be extending the term of the debt and increasing the total amount you repay.

Equity release will reduce the value of your estate and may affect your entitlement to means-tested benefits. A lifetime mortgage is a loan secured against your home. The actual rate available will depend on your circumstances. Ask for a personalised illustration.

Privacy and your data

We collect only the information we need to give you advice and to submit applications on your behalf. That typically includes your name, contact details, income and expenditure, credit history and health information where protection advice is given.

We share your information with lenders and insurers where it is necessary to progress your application, and with our regulator and network where we are required to. We do not sell your data to anyone. You have the right to ask what we hold, to have it corrected, and in most cases to have it deleted. Contact us at steven@atommortgages.co.uk to make a request.

Cookies

Complaints

If you are unhappy with any part of our service, tell us. Write to us at the address above or email steven@atommortgages.co.uk and we will acknowledge your complaint promptly and investigate it under our formal complaints procedure.

If we cannot resolve matters to your satisfaction, you may be able to refer your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service at financial-ombudsman.org.uk, free of charge. We will tell you how to do that when we send our final response.

Important. Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage.
